Before we arrive — a few quick favours
We're a small team trying to keep prices fair. To do that, we need lawns ready to mow when we turn up. Here's what to sort:
Please clear the lawn
Move toys, hosepipes, garden tools, trampolines, paddling pools, washing baskets — anything sitting on the grass. We need a clear surface to mow safely.
Please pick up dog mess
We don't pick up dog mess — sorry, it's a hard rule. If we arrive and there's mess on the lawn, we'll have to skip those areas (you'll still be charged). Five minutes with a poo-bag saves us both a headache.
Please bring pets indoors
For their safety and ours, please keep dogs and cats inside or in a separate area while we work. Mowers are loud and we don't want any tail-chasing accidents.
Some lawns need a chat first
If any of these apply to your lawn, please use our contact form instead of booking online — we'll have a quick chat to work out the right price and approach:
- •Grass over 30cm (about a foot) long — overgrown lawns take much longer and are harder on our equipment
- •Steep slopes or banks — for our safety we need to assess these in person
- •Difficult access — narrow side gates, no parking, hard-to-reach gardens
- •Anything that might be risky — broken glass, loose paving, hidden debris
- •Wet boggy patches or anything underwater — we’ll need to wait it out
- •Country properties or paddock-style lawns over 600m²
How to measure your lawn
Not sure what size lawn you've got? Here's a rough guide:
XS — Under 50m²
A small front garden, courtyard, or tiny back lawn — about the size of a parking space and a half.
S — 50 to 100m²
A small back garden, typical Cornish terrace garden — about the size of two parking spaces.
M — 100 to 300m²
A standard family back garden — about the size of a tennis court or smaller.
L — 300 to 600m²
A larger garden, often a double-fronted property — about the size of a tennis court or a bit bigger.

Large grounds, country property, or paddock-style lawn. Because every big garden is different (terrain, access, hedges, areas to skip), we don't list a fixed online price. Get in touch and we'll have a quick chat to give you a fair, honest figure.
