How do I know what size my lawn is?

Pace it out — one big step is roughly a metre. Multiply the length by the width and you’ve got your square metres. Don’t worry about being exact; we’ll sort it on the first visit if needed.

Do I need to be home when you cut?

Not at all. As long as we can get to the lawn (side gate unlocked, for instance), we’ll crack on and leave it looking tidy. We’ll send you a message when we’re done.

What happens if it rains?

A light drizzle won’t stop us — this is Cornwall, after all. If it’s truly chucking it down and the ground is waterlogged, we’ll reschedule to the next dry day at no extra cost.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes, everything. We turn up with our own professional mower, strimmer, and blower. You don’t need to provide anything.

Can I cancel my subscription?

How much does it cost to get my lawn cut in Cornwall?

Cornwall Mowing has fixed flat prices: £35 for XS lawns (under 50m²), £45 for S (50–100m²), £65 for M (100–300m²), £90 for L (300–600m²), and from £130 for XL lawns (600m²+). Add £15 if you’d like the cuttings taken away. Subscription customers save 15% with fortnightly cuts.

Fortnightly cuts from March to October — that’s 16 cuts across the growing season. You save 15% compared to one-off prices, and we handle all the scheduling so you don’t have to think about it.

Do you do garden maintenance or just lawns?

We specialise in lawn cutting only. It’s what we’re good at and it keeps our prices low. For hedges, borders, or landscaping, we’re happy to recommend other local businesses.

Are you insured?

Yes. Cornwall Mowing carries £2 million public liability insurance. We treat every lawn like it’s our own, and you’re fully covered just in case.

How do I pay?

We accept bank transfer, card payment, or cash. For subscriptions, we set up a simple monthly standing order. No complicated direct debits or payment platforms.

What if my lawn hasn’t been cut in months?

Accepted Answer

No problem. We’ll get it sorted. There’s a one-off first cut surcharge of £20 for lawns with over four weeks of growth, just because it takes a bit longer. After that, normal pricing applies.
